Thounds.com the first musical social network is online!
Today we present online Thounds.com, a new start-up in the world of music.
Thounds, whose name is a blend of thought and sounds, is a new social network model that aims to bring together music lovers and anyone who makes music for passion or profession. Via this portal, anyone can express their own “musical thoughts,” sharing them and drawing inspiration from what other users have already posted.
It works like this: Marco lays down some guitar cords from Cà Tron, Kevin adds the drums from Seattle, Irina puts the voice from Moscow and Toshio the keyboards from Tokyo: the result is a jam session that allows experimentation and musical creation with contributions from all over the world.
“Thounds is a fantastic project and the portal has a really simple and intuitive interface,” says H-Farm founder Riccardo Donadon, “with this initiative, which is also being launched today as an American business as H-Farm US, I am doubly happy because it is the first example of the great feeling born from the IUAV interaction design course run by Gillian Crampton Smith. University can and must be an ever-increasing source for our start-ups.”
“Being able to realise your own ideas is definitely a wonderful milestone. Seeing your own project that begins to grow by itself bit by bit is a very intense sensation, full of positive feelings but also with a little fear and uncertainty. Thanks to H-Farm I have been able to build a dream,” says Francesco Fraioli, Product Manager and the mind behind Thounds. “Music has always been my passion, but I never considered myself a musician. I am convinced that we all have musical moments throughout the day. Thounds is born for this, it is the place where people need not be afraid to create.”
