H-Farm hosts the Venice Startup Weekend
For the first time in Italy, at our Ca' Tron headquarters, comes the event that is now a must in the US for anyone who wants to propose a new idea and create a start-up in the Internet sector.
It’s called Start-up Weekend and it’s a format dedicated to creative encounters between developers, business managers, companies and creative people interested in new products and venture capitalists who are seeking people in whom to invest.
The event takes place from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 May with the one main objective: to define a real entrepreneurial project in 54 hours. Once the strategic points have been defined, the participants will split into groups and each group will realize its own idea. At the end of the two days the projects will be presented to all those present and the one voted the best will be brought to full realisation thanks to financial support from H-Farm and venture capitalists or business people who are part of this initiative.
"We are happy to have been able to bring this initiative to Italy. Our Seattle branch participated in it last year and we saw several great ideas,” says Riccardo Donadon, H-Farm founder. “Even though it is presented as a game that anyone with passion can play, or put themselves to the test in, really it is a concrete idea in which both teamwork and swift execution are fundamental.”
Start-up Weekend is open to all: software developers, creative and enthusiastic Internet or technology fans or “simple” inventors.
Whoever wants to sign up can do so now!
