Advertising goes social. Zooppa originated from the idea of creating a space for social advertising through user-generated content. It is committed to the vision of real people and real companies conducting business in a creative and rewarding viral context. This means stimulating the creative talent of those who have no voice in the traditional advertising setting. For each company that Zooppa partners with, a new competition is launched for users to take part in. Users are also encouraged to create their ads using concepts or scripts posted by others. Once users have uploaded their contributions, it is up to them to decide the winners. Users rate the ads and, based on these ratings, Zooppa awards the cash prizes. Zooppa is, therefore, a new advertising model based on the Internet and the possibility to connect people from all over the world by putting them in contact with one another.

Will Merritt
Will joined Zooppa as CEO in October 2008. He has 25 years’ experience in the world of media and advertising, including as President of the Time Warner European publishing division with TIME and Fortune magazines. Will also worked at Corbis Corp., the Bill Gates-owned digital media company, as Managing Director for Europe based in Paris and later as Senior Vice President for Worldwide Sales from their Seattle headquarters. Will is originally from New York, and has lived in Asia, Europe, Africa and now calls Seattle home.
